I served as the creative director for CPCC’s A+GD spring term portfolio show. I was voted as creative director for my concept INTERMISSION by my class, and developed the concept, logos, and brand design of the show. With the goal of hosting an event visited by over 100+ local creatives,  I lead creative direction of all marketing materials, which included social media, web design, printed invitations, and poster designs. Also played a creative direction role for the in-person event, which included interactive audio visual elements, a music playlist, and the floor layout.

The lights of the theater brighten to a dim. You rise from your cushioned seat in a daze as you fade back into reality for the intermission. You walk out the theatre with your peers, speculating and reflecting on the world you were absorbed into, all with an undertone of nervous anticipation of what’s to come next.

In our story as designers, we’ve watched the first act, during which we met mentors that’ve opened our eyes to the world of design. Now, we’re about to depart from the nest as professionals for the second act.

But before we embark on that exciting journey, join us for a moment of pause as we highlight each talented creative in this class and reflect on our hardwork up until this point.

Branding




Photoshoot Creative Direction

I had the opportunity to work with the talented Andre Blom & Nikita Verenych for our class photoshoot. My role as the creative director was to provide the themes and moodboard direction for the photos. I wanted our photos to stand out from past classes, and give our shoot a bit of edge and intensity that would draw creatives to attend our show. Main elements that I wanted to highlight with our shoot was to provide a sense of texture, depth, and character that compliments our design elements and individual personalities.


Social Media
Creative direction for our instagram page, we developed eye-catching visuals to introduce each designer and advertise our portfolio show. I developed the visual synth video graphics which create a mirage of dense pixels and noise which is inherent to our visual identity.
